-Saint Patrick's Day-

.

Et boit de la Guiness ... beaucoup !March 17th, is the Patron Saint of Ireland. Of course, on this day in the US and anglo-saxon countries, everybody feels Irish and wears green clothing, symbol of Emerald Island. And drinks Guiness ... in quantities !
Indeed, the symbols of Ireland and of St Patrick are more than well-known, ranging from the Shamrock to the leprechaun, via the Harp, the celtic cross, the blarney stone, not forgetting the Snake and the Rainbow ...
And the celtic music and dances are a part of our environment here in the US, just as the country music.
I have a crush on some Irish artists, and particularly for one of them : Michael Flatley, leaping devil extraordinarily full of energy, of lightness, of grace and talent ... a Legend on his own !

Le voici dans un extrait du "Lord of the Dance" :
You can see him here in an excerpt of "Lord of the Dance" :

Et là la finale !
And here the finale !

****************

THE TRUE TRUTH

An old joke, really a variation on a theme, arrived in this morning’s that will provoke laughter or may force a laugh ...

What happens when a fly falls into a coffee cup ?
Well, the outcome is dependent on your cultural proclivities :

The Italian - throws the cup, breaks it, and walks away in a fit of rage.
The German - carefully washes the cup, sterilizes it and makes a new cup of coffee.
The Frenchman - takes out the fly, and drinks the coffee.
The Chinese - eats the fly and throws away the coffee.
The Russian - drinks the coffee with the fly, since it was extra with no charge.
The Israeli - sells the coffee to the Frenchman, sells the fly to the Chinese, sells the cup to the Italian, drinks a cup of tea, and uses the extra money to invent a device that prevents flies from falling into coffee.
Ah, but what does the Palestinian do with his fly infested coffee ? I thought you’d never ask …
The Palestinian blames the Israeli for the fly falling into his coffee, protests the act of aggression to the UN, takes a loan from the European Union to buy a new cup of coffee, uses the money to purchase explosives ...

... And then blows up the coffee house where the Italian, the Frenchman, the Chinese, the German and the Russian are all trying to explain to the Israeli that he should give away his cup of tea to the Palestinian.

-EN FLORIDE, PAS A GAZA-

.

********

J'ai reçu ce document de "Act for America". Et regardez bien, ce n'est pas à Gaza que ça se passe, ce n'est pas au Liban ou au Maroc, ce n'est pas en France, ce n'est pas en Europe ... Non !

Act for America :

****************

I received this document from "Act for America". And take a good look at it for this does not occur in Gaza this is not in Lebanon or Morocco, this is neither in France nor in Europe … NO ! This is right here in the US, right in Florida. And they are all the same … Listen carefully to what they say - it's so primitive, it's comprehensible by everyone). What a shame !

Act for America :

" ... When you watch the video you’ll see and hear things that are offensive, deeply disturbing, and, frankly, frightening. You’ll see signs that say “Nuke Israel.” You’ll hear a woman yell at pro-Israel demonstrators, “Go back to the ovens !!” You’ll hear vulgar profanities. In the midst of all of this you will see a Muslim leader at the demonstration being interviewed exclaiming that once people really understand Islam they will have “no choice” but to accept it.
And remember that this latest round of violence began with Hamas breaking the cease-fire and launching hundreds of rockets into residential areas of Israel. That’s not very clear from many of the news reports of the past week. Israel has responded to defend itself, as it has every right to do."

WE ARE ALL ISRAELI

Excellent article from Guy Milliere, which can be found on Les 4 Verites website, concerning the situation in Israel.

Israel far from the myths of the European press

Israel
One must really travel. Nothing substitutes for the direct contact with reality where an infinity of factors often intermingle, which the mere reading of texts cannot restore. I have travelled around the world several times. I crossed regions which I could not cross any more today, like Iran or Afghanistan, for example. My personal tastes often led me to the United States where, in spite of the come to power of Barack Obama, I will return.

I do not remain a long time in the "bobo" rings because I know more than enough how one lives there, how one thinks there, and very quickly an "overflow" kind of feeling reaches me, and with it a type of nausea. In spite of the differences, I have some thirty year old friends in New York and San Francisco. When I see them, I try to speak about everything except politics, economy or geopolitics. Or, if the subject does come in the conversation, I take care not to contradict them, knowing that I would waste my time. I strive to see what good and human there is in them, despite everything. Then I leave towards inner America, in which I recognize myself more.

I would like to go more often to Israel. My timetable has prevented me from returning there for several years. I just spent a few days there in December, invited to speak at conferences by André Darmon, director of “Israel magazine”. Given the very recent events, I think it's useful to speak about it here. I found in Israel an even more modern society than the one I had left after my last stay. As I said to my interlocutors, the proximities between Israel and the United States are much larger than those between Israel and any country of Europe, and I continue to find admirable what the Jewish people made, in sixty years, out of a fragment of hostile desert.

I continue to think that this is also what the Arab and Moslem people of the area find insufferable and incomprehensible, since so little modernity has penetrated their culture and their mentality.
A Jewish State in the middle of "dar el Islam", is simply unbearable.
A Jewish State which achieves hardly conceivable prowesses, is even more unbearable..

If one would entrust to Israelis the land of Syria, Jordan or the Egyptian Sinai, they would in a few years turn it from the beige of the desert to the tender green of irrigation. If one would entrust Israel to Arabs of the area, the desert would make a quick return.
It is particularly obvious on the territories at the frontier. Up North, with the extreme proximity of Lebanon, where Hezbollah rearms under the benevolent glance of the United Nations (I was there, on the Israeli side, so close I could nearly speak with the blue helmets and the anti-semite militia-men that only two lines of barbed wires separated from me), fruit trees are planted by Israelis to the line of demarcation. On Hezbollah-land, nothing, except billboards to the glory of the “martyrs”, i.e. the assassins.
The road which separates Jordan from Judaea-Samarie is interesting. One can drive there safely because Israel takes care of it and, just as at the “checkpoints”, this safety goes hand in hand with few military controls on the ground: electronic monitoring is everywhere, invisible there for those who have no criminal intentions. The only salubrious houses are Israeli, while the Arab houses are slums. Israeli houses and cultivated grounds are “colonies”, one can read in tge European press, in other words islands of civilization. The “international community” would like to see these enclaves of civilization disappear and leave room to rubble and slums, which would be “the Palestinian State”: that would make it possible to fill the Swiss accounts of gang leaders like Mahmoud Abbas. That would make these traces of progress disappear, undoubtedly obscene for decadent eyes.

The following stage would probably be the immersion of Israel by djihadist cruelty. But Israel will not let this happen, as the current operations against Hamas in Gaza are showing us. If the Arab people of the area did not have their minds unhinged by fanaticism, they would like a true peace, to profit by production and exchange, of the prosperity created by Israel. And if Western politicians did not have their spirit corroded by cowardice and submission, they would themselves encourage an evolution in that direction…

Noel blanc

A WHITE CHRISTMAS
Christmas is evocative of snow and sledge, "coldie" and wood fires, hot wine and sweet treats, garland and candles, oreillettes and chocolate log ( french dry and chocolate pastries respectively ), scents of cinnamon and resin, flashing presents and merry laughter. It seems Christmas without snow is not a true Christmas …

And yet for having lived in the Tropics and currently in a subtropical region, a sunny and soft Christmas, with rose shrubs, hibiscus and bougainvilleas bearing flowers, orange trees almost collapsing under the weight of their fruits, this Christmas "on the balcony" offers attractions and an irresistible charm as well.

White or gilded … it's Christmas !

Mon Beau Sapin !

O CHRISTMAS TREE

Yes it's him, this fir tree higly enlightened, all ribbonned-up and garlanded to the top, with multicoloured balls shining of all their fires, that replaces for us the chimney of yore.
And it's under him that we still slip our shoes on the evening of each December 24th.

With always the hope that we may see them filled the following day, with among our gifts that unhoped present we would not even have thought of. It happens, some years … And we remember them for a long time!

We wish you also will find "your" dream gift …

Today, a moving and evocative small presentation slightly obsolete and a tidy bit childish, that brings us years back, to the Christmases of our childhood.
And the warm irresistibly phrased voice of the most famous Canadian should stir us up still more, he who speaks about people ... "on their knees, of godly man, of a standing people and the Redeemer
... It's for us that he gets born, suffers and dies … "

I dedicate the Christmas carol of this day, the very symbol our beliefs and hopes as a child, to my late parents - and more particularly to my mother - for the splendid Christmas they offered us, their children. There was nothing missing : the Christmas tree, a splendid crib, our family around us, grandparents, uncles and aunts, cousins , and especially … especially the shoes in front of the chimney. And the presents !
What a patience, work, courage, and probably sacrifices they had to make in order to offer us all these Christmas, year after year, always so warm and hearty.

Let me thank them here for that.

Realizing how terribly stretched the mesh of the family fabric is, becoming almost non-existent, and knowing how many of them have left us, 'tis my opinion that the real feast is rather happening up there, where they must, all joined together and celestial champagne bubbles slightly helping, have more laughter and fun than us ... down here.

Merry Christmas to all !

CHRISTMAS : D -10

This year, each day will have its Christmas carol to recall us that Christmas is first and foremost the celebration of the birth of Christ our saviour.
In these times of barbary, it is good for us Westerners to not forget, not a single moment, our Christian references that we tend to leave in oblivion.

Thus to all the lukewarm and tepid ones, the softies of the Sacred, warm yourself to the heat of old times Christmases, they are dying to start to strongly shine, once again…
And today, let us start merrily with the three well-known accomplices

-Etonnant Blue Christmas-

AMAZING BLUE CHRISTMAS

In this period of festivities where often the nostalgia of "when-I-was-a-kid" Christmas mix with the hopes of the new year to come, here in the States the battle is fought of the new activist and heinous religion : atheism, that wants to eradicate Christian references from all these festivities …
As if even the number of our current year did not refer to the birth of Christ.
Really ridiculous this combat of a minority that wants to found its dictatorship, even at the expense of the greatest number.

And to clean ones spirit, once again, of this malignant will to destroy the values that make America, I propose to look and listen to this astonishing duet : Video 1

Note : Martina McBride is one of Country Music's most famous voices these days.
And to make things very clear, here is what hides behind the astonishing previous video :

-Le Troisieme Jihad-

.

OCCIDENT REVEILLE- TOI  !

****************

Wake Up, The West !

The latest terrorist attacks in Mumbai, India, remind us once again how radical islam represents THE major danger to the world. In the very heart of America, its vicious forces are at work with the goal of submitting this country of liberty one day.
The excellent Bivouac-Id website presents us with a French underscored version of the event movie "The Third Jihad", that should shake and bring into action all the defenders and lovers of our dear Freedom and Western values.
The only question remaining after viewing this documentary is : "WHAT DO WE DO ABOUT IT ?"
How do we organize both the resistance to this invader that doesn't even mask its goals, and even more importantly : what action plan can we devise to raise to the combat and counter its goals ?
