SKYWALK ou un chemin dans les nuages ...

La legende dit que c'est à cet endroit, au-dessus du Grand Canyon qu'un garçon s'est transformé en aigle, et s'est envolé vers le ciel ...

C'est là, en Arizona, que les indiens Hualapai ont demandé que soit construit au bord de l'à-pic de 1220 mètres, au-dessus du fleuve Colorado, un ouvrage qui tient du miracle : un véritable "pont dans le ciel". Il est accroché à Eagle Point, endroit sacré et chargé de légende pour les Indiens. Ils considèrent que c'est de leur devoir de partager cet endroit à la fois très spirituel et très puissant avec le reste du monde. D'autres Indiens pensent que cette terre sacrée va être dérangée ... mais acceptent déjà avec une certaine aménité les futures retombées liées au tourisme.




C'est l'architecte David Jin, le maitre d'oeuvre de ce promontoire, tout de transparence. Et admirez le paysage. Grandiose !
C'est magnifique, mais je ne peux pas dire que j'irais y faire du saut à l'élastique ...
