Oui c'est une histoire qui fait chaud au coeur.
De temps en temps, dans les actualités, on tombe comme ça, par hasard sur une nouvelle qui vous fait du bien. C'est le cas de ce vétéran du Vietnam et qui vit au Texas, près de Dallas.
Presque tous les jours de l'année qui vient de s'écouler, Bert Brady s'est levé le matin, a pris un café et est allé à l'Aéroport International Fort.Worth de Dallas ( DFW ) pour accueillir les soldats qui rentrent "à la maison", en provenance d'Irak et d'Afghanistan, et les applaudir.
Bert Brady, ce vétéran de 69 ans, est un membre du Programme "Bienvenue au pays, Héros !" à l'aéroport de DFW.
Lui et d'autres se dévouent et sont présents, juste là à l'arrivée, pour s'assurer que chaque soldat qui rentre au pays, en passant par Dallas, reçoit un accueil spécial. Et il a entrainé tout plein de gens avec lui. "Nous avons des personnes qui viennent seulement le week-end et d'autres qui ne viennent que pendant la semaine." dit-il. Des scouts, des vétérans du Vietnam et de Corée le rejoignent ainsi régulièrement.
Bert Brady, de cette façon, veut être sûr que les soldats ressentent bien, qu'on leur est vraiment reconnaissant d'avoir servi leur pays. Il ne veut pas qu'on les oublie. "Nous n'allons pas les oublier comme beaucoup de soldats du Vietnam l'ont été," dit Brady. "Nous n'allons pas oublier les soldats d'aujourd'hui."
Devant l'émotion et le plaisir des soldats, Brad ajoute :" Vous ne pouvez pas faire plaisir à 200 personnes, et ne pas ressentir aussi cela. Si 95 pour cent d'entre eux sourient, vous ne pouvez jamais savoir si l'un de leur camarade n'est pas mort dans leurs bras, la veille."
Eh oui c'est un homme étonnant ! Et ce sont des gens comme Bert Brady qui font la grandeur de ce pays !
Cette video n'est pas très longue ( n'oubliez pas le mouchoir ) mais elle l'est assez pour montrer une fois de plus l'origine réelle de la grandeur de l'Amérique : cette force morale d'airain des gens qui vivent ici.

BERT BRADY AN AWESOME GUY FROM TEXAS
Yes this is a heartwarming story.
By chance, you come across a news item that makes you feel good. It is the case of this veteran of the Vietnam war, who lives in Texas, close to Dallas.
Nearly every morning for the past year, Bert Brady has got up, drunk a cup of coffee and gone to the Dallas Fort.Worth International airport (DFW), to greet and welcome home the soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan, and to applaud them.
Bert Brady, this 69-year-old-veteran, is a member of the "Welcome Home a Hero" program at the airport of DFW.
He and others are devoted and are present, just there, to make sure every soldier who comes through Dallas, gets a special homecoming. And he has reached out to almost anyone who will join him. "We have people who only come on weekend, and we have people who come during the week" he says. He's regularly joined by Boys Scouts, veterans of the Vietnam and Korean wars.
In this way, Bert Brady goes to make sure the soldiers feel appreciated for serving their country. He doesn't want them to be forgotten. "We are not going to forget them like a lot of Vietnam soldiers have been forgotten" said Brady. "We are not going to forget the soldiers of today."
Realizing soldiers' emotion and pleasure, Brad adds: " You cannot make 200 people happy, and not feel that. If 95 percent of them are smiling, you never can know if one of their buddies has just died in their arms yesterday."
