Le premier jour du début officiel de la nouvelle saison cyclonique, nous avons été gratifiés d'une première tempête tropicale, Barry pour ne pas la nommer. Gentillette tout de même, sans vouloir la vexer. Alors que la Floride était un peu sèche du manque de pluie et des restrictions d'eau imposées, cette première grosse averse a été une vraie bénédiction. Toutes les pelouses un peu souffrantes des restrictions, soudain arrosées par l'eau du ciel, ont instantanément reverdi et aujourd'hui sous le ciel bleu revenu, c'est magique tout est vert et étincelant ! La Floride dans toute sa splendeur !
A noter que chaque année toutes les dépressions tropicales passant à l'état de tempêtes sont nommées et les phénomènes dans l'Atlantique porteront cette année, les jolis noms de : Andrea, Barry, Chantal, Dean, Erin, Felix, Gabrielle, Humberto, Ingrid, Jerry, Karen, Lorenzo, Melissa, Noel, Olga, Pablo, Rebekah, Sebastien, Tanya, Van, Wendy.
Et parmi eux, certains ne devraient pas nous sembler bien sympathiques.
Mais bah ! on croisera les doigts comme d'habitude ...

THE FIRST OF THE SEASON
On the first day of the official hurricane season opening date, we were endowed with a first tropical storm, whose little name is Barry. Somewhat a gentle one however, without wanting to upset it. Whereas Florida was a little dry because of lack of rains and water restrictions, this first large downpour was a true blessing. All the lawns slightly suffering from the restrictions, were suddenly sprinkled by water from the sky and have instantaneously become green and today, under a returning blue sky, it's magical: all is green and shining ! Florida in all its splendour !
It should be noted that each year the tropical depressions reaching the status of storms are named and the phenomenae in the Atlantic this year will carry the following pretty names: Andrea, Barry, Chantal, Dean, Erin, Felix, Gabrielle, Humberto, Ingrid, Jerry, Karen, Lorenzo, Melissa, Christmas, Olga, Pablo, Rebekah, Sebastien, Tanya, Van, Wendy.
And among them, some will probably not seem very sympathetic to us.
But puh ! We'll just cross our fingers as usual …
