Un vent de chaos s'est mis à souffler et a réveillé comme par magie des populations qu'on a coutume de qualifier de fatalistes et mues uniquement par l'islam ...
Bon ! Les temps changent semble-t-il, peut-être un peu façonnés, travaillés par quelques courants, faiseurs d'évènements. Seul l'avenir nous dira à qui ça profite ... et nous aurons alors les initiateurs des opérations.
En même temps, la seule chose vraiment importante, dans le fatras d'analyses, de suppositions, de supputations, et d'incantations sur de potentielles démocraties émergeant bien sûr, par génération spontanée, de ce terreau si fertile et "libertaire" qu'est l'islam, la seule chose importante sera d'établir à travers quelle grille d'analyses on appréciera réellement le devenir de ce monde arabo musulman.
Et en particulier :
- Où en sont les droits de l'homme, de l'être humain : la Liberté individuelle, la liberté d'expression, de possession, de circulation, l'égalité de traitement, le droit à l'éducation, au travail, la sécurité ... ?
- Quelles sont les relations de ces pays avec les Etats-Unis "le grand Satan" encore symboliquement le plus grand pays de libertés qui soit ?
- Quelles sont les relations de ces pays avec Israël ? Ce point à lui tout seul sera significatif d'une réelle mutation !
- Quelle place sera faite à la liberté des femmes ? Crucial et me semble-t-il totalement improbable. Le pouvoir du mâle quasiment absolu sur la femme, je doute que les hommes de ces pays soient prêts à en céder une once. De très loin, c'est la liberté de la femme et sa reconnaissance d'être humain à part entière qui vont être l'élément le plus difficile à céder pour ces potentats domestiques absolus. Avant même Israël, ce point sera sans nul doute, le moins probable à moins d'un changement quasiment magique de la mentalité musulmane.
- Quelle place sera faite à la liberté des minorités religieuses autres que l'islam ? A voir déjà quelques accrocs notables de ce côté, j'ai déjà quelques doutes ...
Ces différents points à eux seuls constitueront les meilleur des signaux que les révolutions en terre d'islam ont réellement débouché sur une ère de Liberté. Sinon, elles ne constitueront qu'une poudre aux yeux supplémentaire, visant à cacher d'autres desseins.
L'avenir seul nous le dira !

REVOLUTIONS IN THE ARAB WORLD : WHAT NEXT ?
A wind of chaos has started to blow and has awoken -almost magically - peoples that are usually referred to as fatalistic and moved only by islam...
All right! Times are changing, at least it seems so, even if a bit engineered or directed by some event- generating streams. Only time will tell who profits from it...and then we'll really know WHO initiated the events.
But in the meantime, the only important thing amidst the bulk of analysis, assumptions, hypotheses and incantations concerning the potential democraties that will emerge, by spontaneous generation of course, from the ever fertile and "libertarian" islamic soil, the only important thing I said will be to decide through which reading frame we will really estimate the fate of the muslim arabic world.
And, particularly:
- What about human rights, the rights of the human being : individual liberty, freedom of expression, of property, of circulation, equal treatment, the right to education, to work, to security ... ?
- What are the relationships of these countries with the United States, the "Big Satan", still symbolically the most free country in the world ?
- What are the relations of these countreies with Israel ? This matter alone will be significant of a real mutation!
- What freedom will women enjoy ? This is crucial and, it seems to me, very unlikely. Near total power of the male over the female, I doubt that the men of these countries are willing to give up one inch of it. More than anything else, it's the freedom of women and their recognition as a human being as a whole that will be the most difficult to concede for these absolute domestic potentates. Even before Israel, this matter will be without doubt the most unlikely, unless a near magical change of the muslim mentality.
- What room will be given to religious minorities other than islam ? By judging from the noteworthy hitches on this particular point, I already have doubts.
Those different subjects alone will form the best of signals that the revolutions on islamic ground have really given birth to an era of Freedom. If not, they will be merely another screen of smoke, functioning to mask other goals.
Only time will tell !
